What we collect, and why.
Last updated 10 October 2026
This covers the Cyber Creek Studios website and the Purgatorium Reborn playtest. We collect as little as we can, use it only to run the playtest and fix the game, and never sell it.
When you apply to playtest
The sign-up form collects your name, email, platform, Apple ID email (iOS only), device or PC specs, how you heard about us, and your confirmation that you're 18 or older and agree to the playtest terms. We use this to choose testers and send invite codes.
When you redeem an invite code
We record the code, the email you entered and the time. For Windows builds, that email is given view-only access to the build folder in Google Drive. When a code expires or is revoked, that access is removed automatically.
Crash reports from alpha builds
If the game crashes, the next launch sends that session's log to us automatically. A log contains the game version, platform and device model, the error text, and your invite code so we know which build crashed. Before a log is stored, folder paths are scrubbed of your computer's user name. Crash logs are deleted after 90 days.
The website
This site has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies. The access page remembers your email in your own browser so you don't have to retype it; nothing about that leaves your device.
Where it's stored
Applications, codes and crash logs are kept in our Google Workspace account. iOS testers are also handled by Apple TestFlight under Apple's own privacy policy.
Your choices
Email support@cybercreekstudios.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, including removing yourself from the playtest. We'll do it within 30 days.
